STOCKS, STOCK OPTIONS, DAY TRADING
Shaun Mahoney is a business owner and part-time trader. He placed his first trade on an orange juice contract at age 18, having been introduced to trading through his father, a farmer. After reading his father’s commodity books, he was inspired to start trading futures, forex options, stock options, and stocks. His focus today is option credit spreads.
When Shaun found he had a knack for teaching others, he began sharing his knowledge as a SheCanTrade instructor in 2018. He focuses on providing traders a very visual way of looking at the markets with chart trading indicators. As a self-taught trader, he can easily relate to other self-directed traders and try to help them find the tools and mindset to learn, grow, and improve their trading skills, one step at a time.
What Motivates Me
I love the challenge of trying to identify what direction the market is going to take next. Since becoming a trading coach over a year ago, I have experienced a real thrill of teaching people about market analysis and trading. It gives me intense pleasure when I have students tell me about trades they took.
What I Like to Trade
I started trading commodity futures at the age of 18. I learned all about it from my father (a farmer) who traded the grains and livestock. My first trade was in orange juice, and I made some money. I cannot say, however, I consistently made money for some time after. I learned options in college and started trading them as well once I finished school. Over time, I have also learned about trading forex and stocks.
Outside of Trading
Trading is currently my passion, but when I’m not involved in watching webinars and reading books, I like to curl up with my wife and watch movies. I also love all team sports and officiate slo-pitch and fast-ball baseball and basketball.
STOCK OPTIONS, TECHNICAL ANALYSIS, SHORT TERM SWING TRADING
Focused on short-term stock and ETF options trading, including weekly swing trading and key intraday moves. Coaching sessions emphasize trade setups, placing entry and exit orders, and tracking and managing each trade from start to finish.
